Typical Tropical’s March 2026 line-up in Rotterdam: LatinXpress at Grounds, 5-week Salsa and Bachata courses, free Latin Café DOX, and Tropalize at Zoho.

Typical Tropical Rotterdam: Salsa and Bachata dates for March 2026

ROTTERDAM, 12 February 2026 – Typical Tropical has a full March line-up in Rotterdam, from the monthly LatinXpress party to a free midweek Latin Café at DOX and a fresh round of 5-week Salsa and Bachata courses. Here is what you can put in your diary now, with the key times, venues, and ticket links.

If you like your month to have a bit of structure, this one is easy: a big Saturday night at Grounds, course starts across the week, a free Wednesday social by the Rijnhaven, and a late-March Saturday at Zoho. LatinXpress lands at Grounds on Saturday 7 March, with separate rooms for Salsa and Bachata and a long night slot that runs into Sunday morning. The course block starts between Monday 9 March and Sunday 15 March, then you get the free Latin Café DOX on Wednesday 18 March, and Tropalize wraps the month on Saturday 28 March.

Latinxpress at Grounds on 7 March

LatinXpress is the first big March date, hosted at Grounds on Pieter de Hoochweg, with two rooms and four DJs across Salsa and Bachata (Dominican). You get Salsa from DJ Rojo and DJ Gilly, Bachata from DJ Jarzino and DJ Bryan K, plus food by Huize Wekker and photos by RH Fotografie. Doors open at 22.00 and the party runs until 03.30. Presale tickets are listed at 10 | 12.50 | 15 | 18.50 via https://typicaltropical.nl/axjo, while door tickets are €17.50 cash or €18.50 by card.

Practical notes: drinks are cash and card, cloakroom (garderobe) is €1 per item, cash only, toilets are free, and parking is free after 23.00. For updates, Typical Tropical keeps the main agenda at https://typicaltropical.nl/agenda/.

Grounds sits in the Museumpark area, a short ride from the city centre with easy links via tram and metro connections around Eendrachtsplein and the surrounding stops. If you are cycling, it is a quick, flat ride from Central Station and West.

5-week Salsa and Bachata courses start

Typical Tropical’s March course round is a 5-week format, designed to give you a concentrated run without stretching across an entire season. Courses cover Salsa and Bachata, including Dominican, Fusion, and Sensual, with the promise of clear instruction and personal attention in the studio setting. The course period is listed as Monday 9 March to Sunday 12 April 2026, with 5 lessons of 2 hours. Location is Typical Tropical Studio’s, Schiekade 830, Rotterdam, and sign-up is via https://typicaltropical.nl/inschrijven.

Typical Tropical Studio’s on Schiekade is close to Rotterdam Centraal and the Noord-side routes, so it is one of those venues where the bike and tram both make sense depending on where you are coming from in the city.

Free Latin Café DOX at Nieuwe Luxor

Mid-month, Typical Tropical teams up with the Nieuwe Luxor Theater for a free edition of Latin Café DOX, hosted at Café DOX by the Rijnhaven. DJ Rachella is on music, with Salsa and Bachata (all styles) as the core, plus the occasional Merengue or Kizomba worked into the flow. This edition is on Wednesday 18 March, running 20.30 to 00.30 at Café DOX, Antoine Platekade 9, Rotterdam. Entry is free, and parking is noted as free after 23.00, otherwise paid parking in nearby car parks.

Café DOX is right by Rijnhaven, so if you are on the metro, you can use the Rijnhaven area stops and then walk down to the water. It is also a handy one to combine with an evening on Kop van Zuid.

Tropalize returns at Zoho on 28 March

Tropalize closes the month at Zoho, pitched as a straightforward social focused on Salsa and Bachata, with a large dance floor set-up. Music is by DJ Mo, and the night runs from early evening into after midnight, which makes it a good option if you want a longer Saturday without the very late start. The details: Saturday 28 March, 21.00 to 01.30, at Zoho, Zomerhofstraat 75, 3032 CK Rotterdam. Presale tickets are listed as 8 | 10 | 12.50 via https://typicaltropical.nl/v1up, with door tickets at €12.50 cash or €13.50 by card.

As with LatinXpress, cloakroom (garderobe) is €1 per item, cash only, toilets are free, and parking is free after 23.00

Zoho is by Zomerhofkwartier, near the station area, so it is straightforward by bike from the centre and also easy to reach if you are arriving by train and do not want a long cross-city journey before you dance.
