Bryan van Putten is the founder and editor of RotterdamStyle.com, Rotterdam’s English-language platform for news, culture, events, and practical local guides.

Rotterdam can feel easy one day and oddly complicated the next, especially when you are navigating the city in English. Bryan started RotterdamStyle.com in 2015 to make local information more accessible, more readable, and more useful in everyday life.

On the platform, Bryan focuses on:

  • Rotterdam news that affects daily life
  • Events and cultural picks, with clear practical details
  • Local guides that help you plan without overthinking it
  • Explain-it-like-I’m-new-here articles for people settling into the city

Bryan is originally from Aruba (Caribbean) and speaks five languages. He holds a master’s degree in Media Studies from Erasmus University and a Bachelor of Communication from InHolland University.
