Action’s latest online deals are focused firmly on summer at home. This week’s selection includes products for outdoor cooking, lighting, cooler evenings and keeping comfortable indoors. This week’s Action webshop theme
The latest Action webshop selection has a strong outdoor-living theme. Four of the products are discounted week deals available through 3 August, while several other products have recently been added to the online range.
Because outdoor space in the city can vary considerably, we have divided our selection between larger products that need a proper garden or terrace and smaller additions that may also suit a balcony.
DURO XXL charcoal barbecue
Price: €79.95, reduced from €99
The DURO XXL charcoal barbecue is the largest product in this week’s selection. It measures 115 by 67 by 105 centimetres and has a grill surface measuring 56.5 by 43 centimetres.
The barbecue includes a lid, thermometer and warming rack. Its charcoal rack can be adjusted, while a front hatch allows more charcoal or wood chips to be added without removing the grill. It also has a folding side table, utensil hooks, a bottle opener and two wheels.
This is clearly aimed at households with a proper garden or spacious terrace. At 24 kilograms, it is more of a permanent garden barbecue than something you would casually carry to the park.

Kingston XL garden fireplace

The Kingston XL is a freestanding garden fireplace measuring 160 centimetres tall and 55 centimetres in diameter. Its matt-black design includes an integrated section for storing wood underneath the fireplace.
A wood grate and poker are included, while the stainless-steel chimney directs smoke upwards. The large opening keeps the fire visible from the front.
This is another product that requires a suitable outdoor area. Its height and weight make it considerably more substantial than a small fire basket or tabletop fireplace.

Elva tabletop fireplace

The Elva tabletop fireplace is a more compact alternative to the Kingston. It measures 35 by 18 by 14 centimetres and uses bioethanol rather than wood.
The black steel fireplace has glass panels on both sides and burns for approximately one hour using 90 millilitres of fuel. A matching extinguishing lid is included. Action recommends placing it on an outdoor garden table and reading the safety instructions carefully before use.
Its smaller size makes it easier to store, although it remains an open-flame product and needs a stable, suitable outdoor setting.

XXL solar lantern

The XXL solar lantern is one of the more apartment-friendly products in the selection. Measuring 50 centimetres long, it can be placed on the ground or carried and hung using its handle.
The lantern charges using sunlight and switches on automatically when it gets dark. It offers warm-white lighting and seven colour options, which can be selected by touching the lamp or using the included remote control.
It is splash-resistant, UV-resistant and designed for outdoor use. A full solar charge takes approximately eight hours.
This would be easier to use on a balcony or compact terrace than the barbecue and fire products, particularly because it does not require a power cable during use.

Sinji standing fan with 3D ventilation

Sinji standing fan
When the temperature remains high after heading indoors, the Sinji standing fan provides the practical part of this week’s selection.
The 50-watt fan moves both horizontally and vertically, helping to distribute air around a room rather than blowing in one fixed direction. It can be adjusted to three heights and operated using its touch display or remote control.
It also includes a reusable scent pad, although using fragrance is optional.
At its tallest setting, the fan measures 109 centimetres. It is available exclusively through the Action webshop.

Set of two black plant pots
Price: €24.95 at the time of writing
Set of two black plant pots
This set contains two black plant pots with a woven rattan-style finish. The smaller pot measures 35 centimetres tall, while the larger version is 65 centimetres tall.
Both pots have removable inner pots and optional drainage holes. They are weather-resistant, UV-resistant and suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
The taller design could add greenery without taking up an enormous amount of floor space, making the set relevant to balconies, entrance areas and smaller terraces.
Action currently lists this product as almost sold out.

Which products suit a balcony?
The solar lantern and plant pots are the clearest choices for a balcony or compact outdoor area.
The barbecue, Kingston fireplace and Elva tabletop fireplace involve heat, smoke or an open flame. They should only be used in an appropriate outdoor setting and according to the manufacturer’s safety instructions. The Dutch fire service specifically advises against using a barbecue on a balcony because smoke and carbon monoxide can enter the home.
Residents should also check any rules imposed by their landlord, housing association or owners’ association before using fire or barbecue products.
Prices, delivery and availability
All products in this article are part of Action’s online-only assortment. Action states that webshop orders are generally delivered within three working days.
Standard delivery is usually €5.99 per order, although larger or heavier products can carry higher delivery costs. The barbecue and Kingston garden fireplace currently cost €9.99 to deliver. Customers have 14 days to register a return, with return delivery costs paid by the customer.
The discounted week deals are listed as available through 3 August. Other products may remain online longer, but prices and stock can change.
