HAPPENING 12 JULY 2026 | Live band Por Que No performs at Typical Tropical Outdoor on Sunday 12 July, bringing salsa, bachata and more to Stadion Neptunus. DJ Jarzino opens the evening from 17:45, before the stadium setting turns into an open-air dance floor until 23:00.
With warm summer weather expected, this is one of those Rotterdam dance nights that has the right ingredients: live Latin music, an outdoor location, golden hour over the field and enough time to settle in before the party properly takes off.
Live salsa & bachata at Neptunus
Typical Tropical Outdoor moves the salsa and bachata crowd outside this Sunday, with Stadion Neptunus providing the setting. The event is built around live music by Por Que No, supported by DJ Jarzino throughout the evening.
Por Que No performs multiple sets between 20:00 and 23:00, with DJ Jarzino also keeping the floor moving. Expect salsa, bachata and tropical sounds made for dancing rather than polite head-nodding. Rotterdam has enough places to stand still already.
The doors open at 17:45, which gives visitors time to arrive early, grab a drink, enjoy the late afternoon sun and ease into the evening. With sunset approaching later in the night, the timing is ideal for dancers who want that summer outdoor feeling without having to leave the city.

Practical notes for dancers
The event takes place outdoors, so shoes matter. Typical Tropical notes that the floor surface is not suitable for suede soles, which is a polite way of saying: maybe do not bring your most delicate dance shoes and then look betrayed by the ground.
Tropical snacks are available from Homerun Catering, and food and drinks can be paid for by cash or card. Visitors are not allowed to bring their own food or drinks. The cloakroom is cash only at €1 per item, and toilets are free of charge.
Pictures during the evening will be taken by Team Victorious.
How to get there
Typical Tropical Outdoor takes place at Stadion Neptunus, Abraham van Stolkweg 31, close to the Vroesenpark and the Blijdorp side of Rotterdam. The venue is easy to reach from the A13 and A20, with parking available on site, although places are limited. Travelling by bike is also a good option.
