ROTTERDAM, 15 September 2026 – Typical Tropical has announced a busy October programme of salsa and bachata parties, dance courses and socials across Rotterdam. The month includes the return of LatinXpress and Latin Oase, a new Typical Latin night at Topsportcentrum Rotterdam, a free Latin Café DOX edition and the start of accelerated five-week dance courses.
LatinXpress opens the month
The October programme starts on Saturday 3 October with LatinXpress at Grounds in Delfshaven. The recurring first-Saturday party uses separate salsa and bachata rooms, with DJs Virgil and Rojo handling the Salsa Room and Jarzino and Rachella playing in the Bachata Room.
Doors open at 22:00 and the party continues until 03:30. Warung Mystique provides the food, while RH Fotografie will be taking photographs during the night. Grounds is located at Pieter de Hoochweg 125.
Presale tickets are available in tiers of €10, €12.50, €15 and €18.50 through Typical Tropical. Tickets at the door cost €17.50 when paying cash or €18.50 by card. The cloakroom costs €1 per item and accepts cash only, while toilets are free. Street parking is free after 23:00.

Five-week dance courses begin
From Monday 5 to Sunday 11 October, Typical Tropical begins a new round of accelerated five-week salsa and bachata courses at its studios on Schiekade 830.
The programme covers Salsa LA, Salsa Caleña, Dominican Bachata, Bachata Fusion and BachaZouk. Depending on the course, participants take either five two-hour lessons or five one-hour lessons.
Classes are taught with rotating partners, although couples can also dance together throughout the course. Typical Tropical also organises socials and parties where students can practise outside the lessons.

Typical Latin debuts at Topsportcentrum
A new event joins the calendar on Saturday 17 October when Typical Tropical launches Typical Latin at Topsportcentrum Rotterdam, next to De Kuip.
DJs Rojo and Pequeno el Loco will play a mix of salsa, bachata and other Latin music in the venue's hospitality area from 21:30 until 02:30. Food will be available through Topsportcentrum Rotterdam and RH Fotografie will cover the evening.
Presale tickets cost €10, €12.50 or €15, depending on the ticket tier, via typicaltropical.nl/45ox. Door tickets cost €15 cash or €16 by card. Drinks are card-only, while the €1 cloakroom fee must be paid in cash. Parking is free directly outside the venue at Van Zandvlietplein 20.

Free Latin Café DOX returns
On Wednesday 21 October, Typical Tropical returns to Café DOX inside the Nieuwe Luxor Theatre for another free Latin Café DOX evening.
DJ Gilly provides the music from 20:30 until 00:30, with salsa and bachata forming the core of the night alongside some merengue and kizomba.
Admission is free. Café DOX is located at Antoine Platekade 9, beside the Nieuwe Luxor Theatre on Wilhelminapier. Street parking becomes free after 23:00 where applicable, with paid car parks also available in the surrounding area.
Latin Oase closes October
The month ends on Saturday 31 October with Latin Oase at Oase on Schiehaven. The event returns with separate salsa and bachata areas after previous editions sold out.
Latin Master and Rachella play in the Salsa Area, while Jarzino and Mo take over the Bachata Area. The party runs from 21:30 until 03:00, with photography by Team Victorious.
