Dutch Flamenco Biennial in Rotterdam

During the next edition of the Flamenco Biennial in the Netherlands, expect to see and experience world-class flamenco!

The seventh edition is from 18 January to 10 February 2019. Over the course of two weeks, the festival presents colourful and surprising flamenco shows in theatres and concert halls. Get ready for tantalizing and varied performances, framed by an inspiring context program with master classes & workshops, lectures, artists talks, films & even flamenco yoga classes.

This edition also offers the Biennale a surprising sampling of contemporary flamenco art, with performances and concerts in which the old tradition appears in exciting cross-links and enters into alliances with contemporary dance as well as jazz, classical, baroque and oriental music.

Rotterdam is well-represented with at least four locations. On Friday, February 8th, there's a tribute to Michael Jackson in the Doelen by El Periquin and Martin Fondse. On Sunday, February 10th, no one other than David Carmona will be performing in LantarenVenster. The festival will be festively closed the same day in Theater Rotterdam with a performance by Israel Galvan.
