ROTTERDAM, 24 September 2026 – MOMO Festival will return to Rotterdam from Thursday 15 to Saturday 17 April 2027, and this time you can buy a three-day ticket before knowing who is playing. The new Discovery 3-Day Pass costs €95 until the first programme announcement, €15 less than the regular three-day price of €110.
MOMO asks you to trust the programme
The idea behind the Discovery 3-Day Pass is fairly simple: MOMO wants you to book the festival based on its track record of introducing audiences to artists, performances and places they might not have planned to seek out themselves.
That element of discovery has long been part of the festival’s identity. Previous MOMO editions featured artists including Fontaines D.C., Big Thief, The Last Dinner Party, Obongjayar, Mahalia, Kokoroko, Black Country, New Road and Antony Szmierek before many of them became considerably bigger names.
Performance and visual work have also been part of the mix, with artists including Djuwa Mroivili, WArd/waRDen and Amenti appearing in earlier editions.

Three festival days across Rotterdam
MOMO Festival 2027 takes place from Thursday 15 to Saturday 17 April, once again spreading its programme across different locations in Rotterdam rather than concentrating everything in a single festival site.
Music remains central, but MOMO also programmes performance and art, with emerging artists sharing the programme with more established names and premieres. The full 2027 line-up will be announced gradually in the run-up to the festival.
The €95 Discovery Pass gives access to all three festival days. Once the first programme announcement has been made, the regular three-day price of €110 will apply.
Motel Mozaïque director Margriet Colenbrander says the early ticket is intended to reward people willing to commit before seeing the programme, while also responding to the rising cost of festival tickets.
“April 2027 may still feel a long way off, but preparations are already well underway,” she says. “The trust of our audience helps us create an even better journey of discovery, so it makes sense to reward that trust with a good discount.”
Rotterdam has shaped MOMO since 2001
Motel Mozaïque was founded in 2001, when Rotterdam was European Capital of Culture, and the city itself has remained an important part of MOMO ever since.
Over the years, the festival has used venues including the former Nighttown and old LantarenVenster, but it has also ventured into less conventional spaces. Previous editions have included a temporary church on Schouwburgplein and programming on the roof of the Hofbogen.
That use of Rotterdam is part of what separates MOMO from a conventional venue-based festival. Moving between locations can be part of the experience itself, with the programme encouraging you to encounter different parts of the city alongside the artists.

Early tickets available now
The Discovery 3-Day Pass costs €95 and remains available at that price until MOMO reveals the first part of its 2027 programme.
A regular three-day pass will cost €110, making the early ticket €15 cheaper. Individual programme announcements and further ticket information will follow closer to April.
