ROTTERDAM, 26 September 2025 – Eurobrouwers will move from its temporary home in Schiedam’s Glasfabriek to a permanent location in Rotterdam-West. Café de Wilde Mossel is set to open at Middellandplein, with a new food concept by chef Milan Gataric of Restaurant Lux.
From temporary venues to a permanent base
After three years in the Glasfabriek, Eurobrouwers is closing its doors earlier than expected. The building will be demolished in December to make way for housing. The Station Bergweg bar in Rotterdam will also shut down after this weekend. Both closures mark the end of Eurobrouwers’ temporary sites, as the brewery shifts focus to a permanent café in Rotterdam-West.
At café de Wilde Mossel, the group will present a fully independent concept rather than a bar relying on outside food partners. The new bistro-style bar will feature small plates and a rotating menu created by chef Milan Gataric. Expect original snacks such as croquettes made from pork shoulder, smoked mushrooms and kimchi, brioche with marinated mussel, and hand-cut fries cooked in beef fat. Alongside, guests will find Eurobrouwers’ own beers, a tap wall dedicated to sour brews and porcelain taps.
Crowdfunding campaign
To support the transition, Eurobrouwers has launched a crowdfunding campaign on CrowdAboutNow. With just under a week remaining, the team is calling on supporters to help reach the target. Participants receive 5% interest, a custom beer mug and an exclusive shirt.
Meanwhile, the brewery itself will relocate to a central Rotterdam site, separate from the café. The exact location will be announced soon.
Farewell events
Eurobrouwers will say goodbye to its closing venues in characteristic style. The Station Bergweg bar wraps up this weekend with special offers and a final party on Sunday night. In Schiedam, a large closing weekend is scheduled from 21–23 November at the Glasfabriek, featuring live music, house-brewed beer and children’s theatre.

Founded during the pandemic when Kristian de Leeuw discovered the Glasfabriek site, the group has since grown into a hospitality brand with its own brewery and taprooms. Local entrepreneur Clarissa Slingerland and investor Nanne Meijerink also joined as shareholders.
