Once a year, the entire area around Eendrachtsplein is filled by the sounds of live music. Multiple venues and various event programmers team up to bring you a showcase of the best that Rotterdam has to offer.

Rotterdam local talent

The event provides a platform for more than 100 bands, poets, DJs and other creative locals. In the last eight editions, the festival has developed into a major showcase where event organizers, bookers, and fans come to discover the cities' best talent.

All of Rotterdam's many musical scenes are represented. Each has its own location and 'host'. These hosts will 'take over' a local bar or venue in the Eendrachtsplein area for the night.

Eendracht Festival is completely free and starts at 14:30. Most of the activities end around 23:00 while some clubs host parties that go on to 5:00 in the morning. For more information, check out the Eendracht Festival facebook page.

inJazz is a two-day festival for jazz lovers as well as a music conference for jazz professionals. The jazz festival features top (and upcoming) jazz talent and is entirely free of charge! 

If you love jazz music, you're in for a treat. Why? Well, inJazz is the official opening of North Sea Round Town: two weeks of jazz in Rotterdam. The end of North Sea Round Town culminates in the start of the North Sea Jazz Festival. The inJazz event features two days of free jazz performances as well as a conference for serious jazz musicians and industry professionals. Jazz Festival Hillegersberg has been around for over three decades. The three-day festival features over 35 acts performing on three different stages in the centre of Hillegersberg. 

The festival starts on Friday evening and ends on Sunday night. Approximately 35 acts can be seen on the three stages. Entrance is free. Festival organisers expect approximately 20,000 people. Visitors are requested to come by bicycle or public transport as much as possible.
