HAPPENING 29 MAY 2026 | OISTR will return to Rotterdam on Friday 29 May for a new edition at Multi Multi, bringing back its mix of fresh oysters, house music and French-inspired drinks. After a strong first Rotterdam edition earlier this year, the concept is positioning this next night as a summer opener with Normandy and Zeeland oysters, crémant and a dancefloor that runs until 02:00.
OISTR sits somewhere between a food concept, a club night and a carefully styled social evening. The idea is simple enough on paper, but specific in execution: oysters on crushed ice, Breton-striped staff shirts, French references running through the music and visuals, and a setting that leans more intimate than big-room.
A Paris-inspired night in Rotterdam
The concept was created by Ruben Scholte and Romeo Herman, who launched OISTR at the end of 2024 from a shared fascination with Paris nightlife. Their starting question was what would happen if that atmosphere could be translated into Rotterdam without losing the details that make it feel distinctive.
That means the evening is not just about shellfish and drinks. It is built as a progression. Guests arrive for oysters, crémant, cider or a French 75, then move into a music programme that starts with French touch and 1990s house before shifting towards contemporary house later in the night.

What to expect at Multi Multi
For the 29 May edition, the DJs will be Rotterdam names Changi, Leo Baptista, Lexi and Ben Lotus. According to the organisers, the visual mood will also draw on French sea and coastal cinema, which fits the wider concept without turning the night into a costume piece.
The appeal here is really in the combination. Rotterdam already has plenty of places where you can drink, dance or eat something interesting, but OISTR is trying to build a recognisable identity from the way those things are layered together. The capacity is limited to 150 people, which keeps the scale small and the atmosphere intentionally close.
Free entry before 22:00
The event runs from 18:00 to 02:00 on Friday 29 May at Multi Multi in Rotterdam. Entry is free until 22:00, after which there will be door sales only if there is still space available.
That pricing choice also says something about how OISTR wants to position itself. The organisers are trying to keep the early part of the evening accessible, while still letting the night develop into something more club-like as it gets later. After its successful IFFR edition in January, this second Rotterdam outing looks like another attempt to sharpen that formula before any broader expansion.
