Halloween in Rotterdam 2026: parties, haunted houses and family events

HAPPENING 21-31 OCT '26 | Halloween in Rotterdam is bringing haunted houses, costume parties, family activities and late-night club events to locations across the city. From spooky evenings at Plaswijckpark to drum and bass at Maassilo, here's our guide to confirmed Halloween events in Rotterdam for 2026.

Halloween falls on Saturday 31 October this year, but you don't have to wait until the final weekend to get into the spirit. Rotterdam's programme starts during the autumn school holiday, with activities for children on 21 and 22 October, followed by a growing selection of parties, performances and neighbourhood celebrations. We've checked the organisers' current programmes and included ticket information where available.

Halloween activities for children and families

Plaswijckpark's Griezelavonden, 21 and 22 October. The family attraction in Rotterdam-Noord is turning up the scares with five haunted houses, a spooky scavenger hunt, Halloween crafts and themed food. Both evenings run from 18:00 to 21:00, but there's an important difference. Wednesday 21 October is the gentler option, with friendly monsters that won't deliberately frighten younger children. Thursday 22 October is considerably scarier, with a recommended minimum age of seven. Tickets cost €12 per person, must be purchased online and are valid for one chosen evening. Children under two enter free. Check the programme and tickets.

De Vloek van de Maas at Novotel Rotterdam Brainpark, 30 and 31 October. Captain Cor needs help from young explorers as the hotel hosts a Halloween adventure for families. Between 16:00 and 19:00 on both days, children can follow a trick-or-treat trail, have their faces painted and make spooky crafts. A screening of Monsters, Inc., including popcorn, follows at 19:00. Admission costs €2 per child and includes the activities and film. An optional Halloween dinner buffet is available at an additional cost. Registration is compulsory. The hotel is at K.P. van der Mandelelaan 150. Find programme and registration details.

Countsvale Haunted Circus, 31 October. The Ringvaartplasbuurt Oost neighbourhood in Rotterdam is hosting a free Halloween evening at the Japanese Garden on Pieter Klapwijkstraat. Expect a living haunted house, a spooky bus, a murder mystery game and a photo booth. Children aged 0 to 14 can join the trick-or-treat activities, while prizes will be awarded for the best children's costume and most creatively decorated participating home. The programme runs from 18:30 to 22:30. Entry and activities are free, but advance registration is required. Reserve a free ticket.

Halloween club nights and costume parties

Hospital30 Halloween Rotterdam x Korsakov at Maassilo, Friday 30 October. Drum and bass takes over two rooms of the former grain silo, with Netsky, A.M.C, Metrik, [IVY], Nu:Tone and a substantial supporting line-up. The event runs from 22:00 to 06:00 and is restricted to visitors aged 18 and over. Tickets are advertised from €45. If your idea of Halloween involves bass rather than broomsticks, this is one of the larger nights on the programme. See the line-up and tickets.

De Danshal Hallowhine at BIRD, Friday 30 October. The Halloween edition of De Danshal brings Afro-Caribbean sounds to the dancefloor, moving between soca, dancehall, reggae, bouyon, shatta and Afrobeats. Spitfire and Lois Jane are among the announced DJs. Tickets start at €12. The venue has published conflicting opening times on its event page, so check the final schedule before setting off. BIRD is at Raampoortstraat 24-28. Check the event details.

Glow in the Dark Halloween Special, Saturday 31 October. This year brings two separate parties. The daytime edition takes place at Maassilo from 14:00 to 23:00, with house, hardhouse and techno across multiple rooms, glow paint and Halloween decorations. The line-up includes Benny Rodrigues, Cynthia Spiering, Michel de Hey and Vieze Asbak. For night owls, a second edition continues at Now&Wow from 23:00 to 07:00, featuring artists including Mr. Polska, GWELDBATUN and TITI. Both events are 18+. Check which edition you're booking, as they have separate ticket listings. See both events and tickets.

Halloween Rotterdam at Maassilo, Saturday 31 October. Another major costume party takes over the venue from 23:00 to 05:00. Organisers are promising multiple areas with chart hits, house, tech house, Latin and reggaeton, featuring performers including AIZY, Abel, SDNX, Baray and Faby Forster. This one comes with a strict costume requirement: no costume means no entry. The event is 18+, and the doors close at 01:30. Tickets are advertised from €11.50. Read the entry rules and book tickets.

The Couch Halloween at BIRD, Saturday 31 October. Hip-hop, R&B, dancehall, Amapiano, Afrohouse and electronic music are on the programme as The Couch returns with a Halloween edition. Costumes are compulsory, so make an effort before heading out. Tickets start at €18. As with Friday's BIRD event, the published page contains inconsistent starting times, so confirm the schedule with the venue. See tickets and information.

Halloween Ball at Laurenskerk, Saturday 31 October. Rotterdam's medieval church becomes an unusual setting for a large Halloween party. The event is listed from 18:30 to 23:00, with regular tickets priced at €39.50 excluding service charges. It's a different proposition from the city's warehouse raves, especially if the idea of celebrating Halloween inside a historic church appeals to you. Find the Halloween Ball in the venue agenda.

The community is open to newcomers, with details about joining available from the organisers. Both activities take place at Boomgaardsstraat 69. Read about the Art-Gang party.

Halloween Madness at Baroeg, Saturday 31 October. If horror punk and theatrical rock are more your style, Baroeg has booked Ritual: The Dutch Ghost Experience alongside Astro Zombies A.D., a tribute to the early Misfits. The show starts with doors at 19:00 at Baroeg, Spinozaweg 300. Advance tickets cost €19, with entry at the door advertised at €20. See the Baroeg programme.

Dead & Iconic with DnDykes at Vessel 11, Saturday 31 October. The floating venue at Wijnhaven 101 hosts a queer-inclusive Halloween party where undead characters compete with iconic figures. Expect DJs, drag, make-up stations, a costume contest and a deliberately theatrical atmosphere. Dressing up is encouraged but not compulsory. The event runs from 22:00 to 03:00, with advance tickets priced at €10 and door tickets at €15. See the full programme.

WORM Halloween Party, Saturday 31 October. For a free alternative to the city's ticketed club nights, WORM is opening its foyer for a Halloween gathering from 22:00 to 00:30. Resident DJs, broadcasts and performances are planned, although the complete programme has yet to be announced. The venue is at Boomgaardsstraat 69. Check WORM's latest announcement.

Getting around Rotterdam on Halloween

Several major Halloween parties take place around Maassilo and Now&Wow in Rotterdam-Zuid. Maashaven metro station, served by lines D and E, is immediately beside the complex. If you're travelling from Rotterdam Centraal, you can take the metro directly towards Maashaven. RET also supports contactless payment through OVpay, allowing you to check in and out with a suitable bank card, credit card or mobile wallet.

Other events are spread across Rotterdam-Noord, the city centre and residential neighbourhoods. Check the exact address before travelling, particularly for the free neighbourhood activities where advance registration is required. If you're attending an overnight event, check the last regular public transport departure or arrange your journey home in advance.

All event dates, prices and programmes were checked against available 2026 listings. Organisers may still change times, ticket availability or entry conditions, so consult the linked event pages shortly before attending.
