HAPPENING 14–16 AUG '26 | Vintage Island is taking over OASE Rotterdam from Friday 14 to Sunday 16 August with a three-day vintage fashion pop-up beside the Maas. Admission is free, although visitors must reserve a ticket before attending.
The event brings Vintage Island’s travelling collection to OASE’s indoor event space, De Ruimte. Expect curated second-hand clothing, exclusive drops and one-off pieces, with new stock added throughout the weekend. The organisers describe the Rotterdam edition as a 500-square-metre pop-up filled with thousands of handpicked items.
Three days of curated vintage
Vintage Island operates seven shops across the Netherlands and regularly organises larger pop-ups in different cities. These events offer a broader selection than its permanent stores, combining vintage shopping with music and a more social atmosphere. The company focuses primarily on carefully selected fashion and accessories rather than the collection of independent traders normally found at a traditional market.
A separate Fill a Bag section is also a regular feature at Vintage Island events. This area contains around ten to fifteen rails of clothing from previous collections, and visitors can fill a supplied bag for €10. You only pay after filling a bag, although the available items will naturally depend on what remains when you arrive.
Free entry with registration
Vintage Island opens from 12:00 to 18:00 on Friday 14 August. The pop-up continues from 11:00 to 18:00 on Saturday and from 11:00 to 17:00 on Sunday. Visiting earlier in the weekend may provide the widest choice, but the organisers say additional items will be placed on the rails each day.
There is no admission charge, but a free ticket is required. Vintage Island uses registration to manage capacity and guarantee entry when the venue becomes busy. Shopping beside the Maas
OASE is a cultural venue, café and social space in the former Schiehaven shipyard area of Rotterdam-West. During summer, its Strandtent opens beside the water with food, drinks and a changing programme of music, workshops and cultural events. The café is open from 16:00 to 23:00 on Thursday and Friday, 12:00 to 23:00 on Saturday and 12:00 to 21:00 on Sunday.
Vintage Island should not be confused with Vintage aan de Maas, OASE’s own recurring vintage market. That event returns on Sunday 30 August with independent sellers offering pre-loved and upcycled fashion, furniture, design, records, art and accessories. Vintage Island is a separate three-day retail pop-up centred on the collection of one national vintage company.
How to get there
OASE is located at Schiehaven 15A, around ten minutes by bicycle from Rotterdam city centre. You can take the metro to Delfshaven or Coolhaven, tram 8 to Schiemond or Water Taxi 75 to Schiemond. The final walk from the nearest stops takes approximately five minutes. The entrance is on the quay and is reached through a door in the metal fencing surrounding the site.
Paid street parking applies near OASE, while Q-Park Schiecentrale is approximately five minutes away on foot. The pop-up itself takes place indoors in De Ruimte, making it suitable for visiting regardless of summer weather.
