Popronde is coming round again! Every year, the travelling live music festival known as Popronde makes a stop in Rotterdam. With over thirty participating venues and around 70 diverse artists, this festival truly has something for everybody.
About Popronde
Popronde is a free music festival that proudly has the distinction of featuring the most performances in one day. With over 70 selected acts ranging from singer-songwriter, pop, hip-hop, electronics, reggae, garage rock, punk and metal. De Staat, John Coffey, Kensington, Chef'Special, Racoon and many others participated in the Popronde before they became known. Popronde is the largest travelling festival in the Netherlands and will visit 41 cities this year.

Popronde Rotterdam locations
The 36 participating venus in Rotterdam include Rotown (3voor12-podium), Weena (OOR-podium), Worm, Roodkapje in collaboration with The Daily Indie, De Doelen, Theater Rotterdam location Schouwburg, Cafe de Zondebok & 'T Zwarte Schaap (afterparty), the Market Hal in collaboration with Stukafest Rotterdam, Stayokay Rotterdam (cube house), Het Industriegebouw with Old Scuola, By Jarmusch + rooftop terrace, Digters Rotterdam (new location) and many more. In addition to cafés and pop venues, art galleries, the library and other special places also serve as stages.
Popronde Rotterdam artist line-up
About 70 artists will come to the centre of Rotterdam on Saturday 2 November. These artists include Wies, The Vices, Lo-Fi Le-vi, A.M. Sam, Destructive Penguins, Áslaug, Tessel (barista at Coffee Company Eendrachtsplein), Kat Skills (with one of Yes Darling's singers), BUG and Paracetamøl.

Popronde Rotterdam programmme
The Popronde Rotterdam programme kicks off at 13:00 on November 2nd with Tim Koehoorn in Het Industriegebouw (By Jarmusch) and ALEXANDER in Markthal (Stukafest Rotterdam).
After midnight, Dr. Justice & the Smooth Operators will play in Ferry and at 00:30, the afterparty gets underway at Cafe De Zondebok & 'T Zwarte Schaap with music by Paracetamøl. All concerts are free!
Jubilee for coordinator Francis Pronk
In 2019 Popronde Rotterdam coordinator Francis Pronk organizes the festival for the tenth time. In 2009 she started organizing the festival and the festival has grown to three times its size. Besides the Popronde, Francis Pronk is also a marketer of Poppodium Baroeg and Baroeg Open Air.
