A collaborative effort

Baroeg Open Air is supported by more than 300 volunteers. Organisers have confirmed that ticket presales have already exceeded previous records. While the festival remains free to enter, all advance ticket batches have now sold out.

Festival director Leon van Rijnsbergen commented:
“In 2024 we welcomed a record number of visitors. This year, we aimed for an even more varied programme to appeal to a broader audience. What makes Baroeg Open Air unique in the Netherlands is that we combine guitar bands with electronic acts.”

New Baroeg venue under construction

Meanwhile, construction of the new permanent location for pop venue Baroeg continues on the nearby Spinozaweg. While awaiting its reopening, the organisation remains active through the touring project ‘Baroeg On Tour’, staging concerts at various locations across Rotterdam and the surrounding area.

Over the years, Baroeg Open Air has developed into a key event in the Netherlands’ alternative music calendar, with growing attendance and an increasingly international programme.
