ROTTERDAM, 6 June 2025 – Morgan & Mees announces its summer agenda with art exhibitions, culinary previews and rooftop gatherings in the heart of Rotterdam. The programme highlights the venue’s continued role as a cultural and event location.
Summer events and art series planned at Morgan & Mees
Morgan & Mees Rotterdam has released its summer events calendar, marking a period of programming that includes culinary evenings, art exhibitions and music performances. Housed in a historic building on the Mathenesserlaan, the location has become known not only for dining and accommodation, but also as a venue for creative and cultural events.
Rooftop preview and summer collaborations
On Thursday 26 June, Morgan & Mees will introduce its new rooftop terrace during a "Pre-Summer Penthouse Event." The gathering is intended for entrepreneurs, creatives and event professionals to experience the panoramic rooftop as a potential venue.
A second event is scheduled for Thursday 10 July as part of the lead-up to the annual North Sea Jazz Festival. Organised in collaboration with ArtPublicity, the evening will feature live saxophone music and aims to link visual and performing arts.
New restaurant concept to be launched in autumn
In September, Morgan & Mees plans to formally launch “Mies” – a restaurant named in reference to Mies Lanen, the historical figure associated with the building. The official opening event is scheduled for 18 September and is expected to feature art, live music and seasonal dishes. The concept aims to integrate heritage, hospitality and social engagement.
Ongoing art exhibitions
Every three months, a new female artist is invited to exhibit at Morgan & Mees. These rotating exhibitions are opened with celebratory events and form part of the venue’s continuing support for emerging artists. Each exhibition will influence not only the visual atmosphere of the space, but also elements of the seasonal menu developed by chef Lucas Jeffries.
