ROTTERDAM, 26 February 2024 – Rotterdam restaurants have been recognised at the Thuisbezorgd.nl Awards 2024. Burgers & Frites secured the title of best restaurant in the Netherlands, while Simit and Cheese and Restaurant Shiki won in their categories.

Rotterdam restaurants honoured at Thuisbezorgd.nl Awards 2024
The Thuisbezorgd.nl Awards have once again highlighted the top delivery restaurants and shops across the Netherlands. In its eleventh edition, the awards were determined by more than 64,000 public votes, celebrating eateries excelling in their specialities. Several Rotterdam-based restaurants received recognition during the ceremony.
Burgers & Frites wins national title
Burgers & Frites, a well-known name in Rotterdam’s food scene, achieved a notable milestone by being named the Best Delivery Restaurant in the Netherlands for the third consecutive year. The restaurant, popular for its fresh and simple burger offerings, has consistently secured high praise from customers.
Simit and Cheese recognised for Middle Eastern cuisine
Another Rotterdam winner was Simit and Cheese, which received the award for Best Middle Eastern Restaurant. Known for its Turkish-inspired menu, the restaurant has gained a loyal customer base appreciative of its traditional flavours and quality ingredients.
Restaurant Shiki named best sushi restaurant
Sushi lovers in Rotterdam may already be familiar with Restaurant Shiki, which won the award for Best Sushi Restaurant in South Holland. The restaurant’s focus on fresh ingredients and authentic preparation helped it stand out among competitors.

Other notable winners in South Holland
Beyond Rotterdam, several other South Holland-based eateries received recognition:
- Best Restaurant in South Holland: Poké2Go (Zoetermeer)
- Best Burger Restaurant: Burger & GreekPoint (Vlaardingen)
- Best Restaurant in The Hague: Taste of India
- Best Newcomer: Oakberry, with locations in Rotterdam and The Hague
Public recognition for top delivery spots
The Thuisbezorgd.nl Awards are based on customer votes and reflect the preferences of diners who regularly order online. This year, a total of 32 awards were presented, showcasing a growing variety of food options available through the platform.
