Autumn walks, film nights and foraging at Trompenburg

UNTIL 9 NOV 2025 |  As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, Trompenburg Gardens transforms into a breathtaking sea of autumn colour. From October through November, visitors can enjoy a season filled with rich hues, family adventures, wild foraging walks, and even an open-air film screening among the trees.

A garden glowing in autumn shades

Every corner of Trompenburg bursts with deep reds, warm oranges and golden leaves carpeting the paths. Over 350 species of oak trees — each with their own distinct shape, colour and texture — create an awe-inspiring display for nature lovers. Add in the fungi sprouting beneath the trees, and it’s the perfect time for an autumn stroll through Rotterdam’s green oasis.

Hunt for Autumn Treasures 🍂

From 18 October to 9 November 2025, families can embark on the Autumn Treasures scavenger hunt. With a small treasure chest in hand (€3.95 per box, excluding entry), children set out to find ten special autumn items hidden throughout the garden. Once the adventure is complete, they receive a final surprise at the entrance — a perfect keepsake from a day well spent.
