Uber Eats collaborates with Gorillas for grocery delivery
In a recent development, Uber Eats has initiated a collaboration with Gorillas in the Netherlands. This partnership allows users in various Dutch cities, including Amsterdam, Arnhem, The Hague, Haarlem, Nijmegen, Rotterdam, and Utrecht, to order groceries from Gorillas' extensive range. These orders will be delivered swiftly by Gorillas couriers.
This collaboration follows Uber Eats' previous partnerships with Spar and Getir, responding to the growing demand for rapid grocery delivery among its users. Besides offering standard supermarket products, Gorillas collaborates with local farmers to provide fresh produce.
Alexander Streefkerk, General Manager of the Netherlands at Getir and Gorillas, stated, “We are proud to extend our cooperation with Uber Eats with the Gorillas brand, offering innovative solutions for our Dutch customers. The combination of Uber Eats' reach and our delivery model makes grocery shopping more efficient and accessible. Our wide selection of local and international products is now available to a broader audience.”
Aukeline Tolman, General Manager of the Netherlands at Uber Eats, added, “We are delighted to welcome Gorillas to Uber Eats in the Netherlands, especially just before the Christmas rush. This allows Uber Eats customers to conveniently order their Christmas groceries from Gorillas, avoiding the festive season's hustle and bustle.”
