ROTTERDAM, 25 March 2026 – Simit and Cheese has been named the best delivery restaurant in Rotterdam at the Thuisbezorgd.nl Awards 2025. The annual awards, based on public voting, put a spotlight on the delivery spots people across the Netherlands keep coming back to, with Rotterdam picking its own clear local favourite.
While the wider South Holland winners also included Taste of India in The Hague and Burgerpoint in Zoetermeer, the Rotterdam result is the one that matters most here. According to the awards announcement, Simit and Cheese took the city title of Best restaurant in Rotterdam.
The annual Thuisbezorgd.nl Awards are now in their twelfth year and are based on votes from users of the platform. This time, more than 30,000 food lovers cast a vote, with a total of 22 awards presented during a ceremony at Hotel Arena in Amsterdam.
South Holland winners beyond Rotterdam
Outside Rotterdam, Taste of India was named the best restaurant in The Hague, while Burgerpoint in Zoetermeer took the title of Best restaurant in South Holland.
So while Rotterdam did not take the wider provincial title, it still had a strong local winner in a category that feels more relevant for day-to-day city life anyway. These are the places people actually order from on a rainy Tuesday night, not just the ones collecting prestige in a guidebook.

Public votes decide the awards
Thuisbezorgd.nl says the awards are intended to recognise restaurant and shop owners based on a public vote from platform users. That gives the result a slightly different feel from critic-led lists or jury prizes. It is less about elite taste and more about repeat behaviour, local loyalty and the places people genuinely want delivered to their door.
