Music bingo with guilty pleasures
At Vintage Muziekbingo Rotterdam, you listen, recognise the track and cross it off your card. Fill the card first and you win, with prizes expected to match Villa Kakelbont’s vintage character. The evening is built around well-known sing-alongs and guilty pleasures from different decades. The host keeps the pace moving, taking visitors from one recognisable track to the next. This is not meant to be a quiet night in the corner. Expect singing, dancing and plenty of laughing as the bingo rounds move through familiar songs and shared memories.
Participants play two rounds and can win prizes ranging from vintage design pieces to nostalgic finds. A vintage designer pair of sunglasses or an old vinyl record could be part of the fun. “The Vintage Muziekbingo actually fits exactly with who we are,” says co-owner Thom van Zanten. “A little chaos, lots of cosiness and above all having fun together.”

Full card means winning
The rules are simple: if your card is full first, you win. Villa Kakelbont is keeping the exact prizes under wraps for now, but the café is promising items that fit its playful vintage style. The evening starts at 20:00, with the energy expected to kick in quickly. “We keep the pace nice and high,” says Thom. “If you are late, you immediately land in the middle of the party.”

A Rotterdam living room café
The Vintage Muziekbingo is part of the wider Villa Kakelbont concept, which opened in early March in the centre of Rotterdam. The café presents itself as an accessible living room café, with an interior full of character and an atmosphere designed to feel welcoming from the moment you walk in. Since opening, the café has focused on nostalgia, games and spending time together. With its vintage interior, classic dishes and space for activities, Villa Kakelbont aims to attract a broad mix of visitors, from drinks with friends to families and groups looking for an easy-going night out. The café is open six days a week. “We want people to come here not just for a drink, but for the total experience,” says Thom. “That you experience something, laugh together and go home with new memories.”

How to get there
Villa Kakelbont is in the Halvemaanpassage, just behind the Meent and close to Rotterdam City Hall. From Beurs or Stadhuis metro station, it is an easy walk into the city centre. Rotterdam Centraal is also close enough if you fancy a short stroll through the centre before the bingo begins.
