ROTTERDAM, 2 August 2023 – A new chapter begins in Rotterdam's hospitality scene as the second hotel of Morgan & Mees opens its doors. This new establishment aims to offer a memorable experience to its guests, both locals and international travellers, seven days a week.
A new chapter for Morgan & Mees
The new Morgan & Mees hotel is located in a monumental building at Mathenesserlaan 145, which has undergone a two-year renovation process. The building, formerly home to Schoevers and Radio Rijnmond, has been lovingly restored while maintaining its Bauhaus architectural style.
Myrthe Slotemaker, Managing Director, expressed her excitement about the opening, "We have been looking forward to this for a long time. It's wonderful to see how the building's character and atmosphere have been preserved, despite the complete transformation of all spaces. We aim to foster a connection between locals and international travellers at this location."

The hotel offers 20 rooms, each exuding a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere, equipped with amenities for a comfortable stay. From the "Cute Rooms" to the spacious penthouse with an outdoor terrace, guests can enjoy a variety of accommodations. The three "Natural Rooms" feature their own balconies, while the "Extra Comfy Rooms" come with bathtubs. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, Marie Stella Maris products, coffee and tea facilities, and Wi-Fi.
