ROTTERDAM, 2 November 2026 - Haven Hotel Rotterdam, Curio Collection by Hilton, has completed the refurbishment and expansion of its Spa Haven wellness facilities. Following an earlier opening of the pool and thermal areas, the spa is now offering its full treatment programme, giving both hotel guests and Rotterdam residents another option for a spa visit in the city centre.
Located on the eighth floor of the hotel, the wellness area looks out over Leuvehaven and the surrounding city skyline. It includes an indoor swimming pool, a wooden sauna, a steam room and a relaxation area, with treatments available by appointment.
New massages and hammam treatments
The latest phase of the renovation introduces a treatment menu featuring relaxation massages, deep-tissue massages, hot stone treatments and traditional hammam rituals.
A hammam treatment involves a combination of warmth, water and exfoliation, drawing on bathing traditions from the Middle East and surrounding regions. Spa Haven offers a 55-minute treatment, alongside a longer 80-minute programme that also includes a massage.
According to the hotel's current treatment menu, relaxation and deep-tissue massages start at €50, while the 55-minute hammam treatment costs €90. The longer Hammam Reset treatment costs €120. Facial treatments, including Kobido face massage, are also available.
The spa's physical surroundings have been updated too. The renovation includes new furniture, a redesigned steam room and a dedicated reception area. The interior uses muted colours and materials intended to reference water and the coastal environment.
Harbour views and sounds from the port
Rotterdam's maritime history plays a role in the design of Spa Haven. Its name refers to the idea of a harbour as a place of shelter, where vessels can find protection before returning to open water.
That connection is particularly relevant at Leuvehaven, one of the historic harbour areas from which Rotterdam developed into an international port city.
Visitors can look out over the water from the sauna and relaxation area, while a specially produced soundscape brings elements of the harbour indoors.
According to the hotel, the sound composition includes water moving against ship hulls, distant ship horns and the slower rhythms of the tides. The intention is to connect the spa experience with the surrounding waterfront rather than create an entirely separate environment.
The spa is part of Haven Hotel Rotterdam's wider renovation, which saw the hotel and the adjoining DoubleTree by Hilton Rotterdam Centre reopen in September 2025.

Can you visit Spa Haven without staying at the hotel?
Spa Haven welcomes visitors who aren't staying at the hotel. Day passes provide access to the indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and relaxation area, while massages and hammam treatments can be booked separately. Check the official Spa Haven booking page for current admission rates and availability.
Part of Haven Hotel Rotterdam's wider transformation
Spa Haven is one element of the hotel's efforts to attract visitors beyond overnight guests.
Since reopening under the Curio Collection by Hilton brand, Haven Hotel has introduced several hospitality and cultural initiatives, including Bar Calan, LOEF Living Room & Café and the Curio Art Project, which presents work by Rotterdam artists in the hotel.
We previously stayed at Haven Hotel Rotterdam and explored its connection with the city's art scene, restaurants and maritime surroundings. The hotel has continued to expand its public-facing activities, with the completed spa now adding bookable wellness treatments.
General manager Melle van Uden says the intention is to provide somewhere people can temporarily step away from the pace of the city, whether they are visiting Rotterdam for a weekend or stopping by after work.
The result is a wellness facility that does not require an overnight hotel booking, although advance reservations are recommended.
