HAPPENING 25 March 2026 | Droppie is hosting The Droppie Experience in Rotterdam on 25 March, inviting locals to join a free interactive event built around recycling, a behind-the-scenes tour, a quiz and a neighbourhood clean-up. The event takes place at Droppie’s shop on Eudokiaplein and is open to anyone curious about how waste can be treated as something more useful than rubbish.
The tone is deliberately practical rather than preachy. Droppie’s idea is that “waste” is often just material in the wrong place, and this hour-long session is designed to show what that looks like in real life, not just in slogans.
What happens during The Droppie Experience
The programme starts with a guided tour and a look behind the scenes at how Droppie works, including what happens to the items people hand in and how the company’s “Dropbot” system functions. From there, the event moves into a short interactive quiz before ending with a local clean-up in the neighbourhood.
Droppie frames the final part as a “recycle expedition”, with participants heading outside together to rescue useful materials from the street. It is a simple set-up, but a smart one: learn something, test what you picked up, then go out and actually do it.
Who this is for in Rotterdam
The event is open to anyone interested in doing things differently, and Droppie says children are welcome too. It is also aimed at people who do not just want to hear about cleaner streets and smarter recycling, but want to take part themselves.
That makes it a good fit for Rotterdam neighbourhood life. Eudokiaplein is the kind of place where an event like this can feel local rather than abstract, especially if you already live nearby and have opinions about litter, street waste, or how public space is used.

Practical details for 25 March
The Droppie Experience takes place on 25 March 2026 at 14:00 at Droppie winkel, Eudokiaplein 30-A, Rotterdam. The programme lasts around one hour. Participation is free, but registration is required because places are limited.
Droppie advises wearing something warm and shoes you can walk comfortably in for the clean-up section. Grabbers, bags and the rest of the materials will be provided. Registration is available here:

Droppie also adds a tax giveaway angle
Alongside the event, Droppie is also running a campaign built around Rotterdam’s waste collection charge. Under the slogan “Droppie betaalt jouw afvalstoffenheffing”, the company says one of its users this month will win back the charge, up to a maximum of €469, by recycling at its Eudokiaplein drop point.
That campaign sits a bit more on the promotional side, but it does tap into something recognisable for Rotterdam households: waste charges are rising, and there is obvious appeal in connecting good recycling habits to some kind of direct reward.
How to get there
Droppie’s Rotterdam shop is at Eudokiaplein 30-A, close to Rotterdam Centraal and the Provenierswijk side of town. If you are coming by public transport, this is an easy area to reach on foot from the station, and by bike it is a very manageable stop from most central neighbourhoods. Because the event includes a neighbourhood clean-up, it also makes sense to arrive in clothes that can handle a bit of outdoor movement rather than treating it like a sit-down talk.
