The Netherlands' biggest travelling food festival kicks off its new season in Rotterdam. Foodies from far and wide can enjoy the delicious street food prepared with love in beautiful food trucks in the Vroesenpark. Food trucks and bars across the park

Expect a broad mix of street food, with the festival promising variety across cuisines and diets, from quick comfort bites to more creative plates. On the drinks side, the festival highlights several bar areas, including a wine terrace, a Biergarten and a cocktail bar, so you can settle in rather than just grab-and-go.

Music, theatre and late-night dancing

TREK’s entertainment programme mixes emerging performers with Rotterdam-facing programming, with theatre and live music woven through the day. In the evening, the festival leans into party mode with options like Silent Disco and DJ sets aimed at dance-friendly classics and crowd-pleasers.

Kids activities and fairground classics

If you’re coming with children, the festival also programmes kid-focused entertainment, including children’s theatre and nostalgic fairground attractions, plus Dutch old-school games (oud-Hollandse spelletjes).

The idea is that you can treat it as a short visit, or make a proper afternoon of it on the lawns, then stay into the evening when the site shifts gears.

Reusable glass system and payment tips

To cut waste while keeping entry free, TREK uses a reusable glass system (herbruikbaar glaswerk-systeem). Your first drink comes with a one-off contribution of €3.50 for the standard TREK cup, or €4.50 if you opt for a wine or cocktail glass. There’s no deposit, so you can keep the glass as a souvenir.

One practical heads-up from the festival: the bars are pin-only. Food trucks and some attractions may still accept cash, but if you want a drink, bring your bank card.
