10 years of Frozen, live on ice! The Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra has started ticket sales for Frozen™ in Concert Live to Film.
The Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra will present a new film concert in collaboration with Disney: on 4 and 5 March 2023, the orchestra will play the music accompanying the screening of the film Frozen™ (2013). Frozen™ celebrates its 10th anniversary this year and has recently expressed plans for a third part. In short: the film is as popular as ever. The film concerts will take place at the RTM Stage of Rotterdam Ahoy. There are both Dutch and English (with Dutch subtitles) spoken screenings. Come and enjoy this Disney classic with the whole family!
On Saturday 11 February, a cold warm-up for this concert took place at Schaatsbaan Rotterdam. In the presence of mini Elsas and ice princesses, an ensemble of the orchestra performed the Academy Award® and Grammy Award®-winning hit 'Let It Go'.
About the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra
The Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra also happened to be born in the cinema: it was founded in 1918 by musicians who made their living accompanying films in Rotterdam theatres. With great energy, guts and ambition, the orchestra grew into one of Europe's leading ones. Today, the Rotterdam Philharmonic reaches audiences of millions worldwide with online concerts and tours of the most famous venues – with the Doelen as its home base. Proud of its origins, the orchestra has also always played music to films: from classics with Charlie Chaplin to art house films during the International Film Festival Rotterdam and blockbusters like the Harry Potter series.
