Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and Feyenoord open cultural and football season with joint video production. The two 'teams' join forces to bring the world of football and classical music together in a special video production.
For six months, the orchestra and the football club were unable to play for their audiences and supporters. Now the Rotterdam orchestra and football club Feyenoord are giving shape to the return to the concert halls and on the football fields with the message: "Ready to play".
In their video, the teams play together - each in their own habitat - and present the players to the public for the new season.
Feyenoord managing director Mark Koevermans: "The crisis is not over yet, but with the start of the league, millions of football fans will have something to look forward to every week. On the eve of what will hopefully be another great season for Feyenoord, we and the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra - as another icon of Rotterdam - have wanted to reflect on this in this special way".
Director of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra George Wiegel: "As valuable as it was, recently, that we were able to keep in shape with online projects and reach music lovers all over the world, there is nothing like playing live. We have had a lot of support from our fans' heart-warming reactions and can't wait to welcome them back to our venue".
