ROTTERDAM, 3 September 2026 – Electric charging solutions company Opcharge has signed a long-term lease for The Loft at WTC Rotterdam. The agreement gives the growing company around 500 square metres of office space and a 150-square-metre roof terrace in the monumental building at the heart of Rotterdam’s Central Business District.
Opcharge moves into The Loft
The Loft is located in the former porter’s residence at WTC Rotterdam and combines historic architectural features with a contemporary office environment. Opcharge is taking the space as a base for the company’s next stage of expansion. The lease adds another growing technology company to the approximately 100 organisations already based at WTC Rotterdam.

The agreement covers approximately 500 square metres of office space as well as around 150 square metres of roof terrace.

WTC Rotterdam focuses on its community
WTC Rotterdam combines office space with a wider programme aimed at connecting the organisations based in the building. Events and community activities are used to bring together companies and their employees. Facilities also include a lactation room and a meditation and prayer room, alongside the building’s business, hospitality, fitness and retail services.

Tenants are also connected to the World Trade Centers Association, an international business network comprising more than 300 WTC locations across almost 100 countries and territories.

Monumental Rotterdam office complex
WTC Rotterdam covers approximately 82,000 square metres and occupies the former Exchange Building (Beursgebouw), which is a nationally listed monument in Rotterdam’s Central Business District. The complex includes conventional and flexible offices, a Business Center, Postillion Hotel & Convention Centre, TrainMore gym, restaurants and cafés, shops, an art gallery and two car parks.
A major redevelopment of the building has recently been completed. WTC Rotterdam currently holds an A++ energy label and a BREEAM-NL In-Use Very Good sustainability certification. Its energy measures include thermal energy storage, solar panels, LED lighting, energy-generating lifts and water-saving sanitary facilities. Charging facilities for electric vehicles are also available in the building.

Lease completed with property advisers
The transaction was completed on behalf of Bouwinvest Dutch Office Fund by Cushman & Wakefield in cooperation with JLL. Opcharge was advised by Parc Makelaars. Bouwinvest Dutch Office Fund holds the maximum five-star rating in the GRESB sustainability benchmark for real estate funds. The arrival of Opcharge adds another company working in the energy transition to Rotterdam’s central business district, while giving the organisation a larger base for its team in the city.
