ROTTERDAM, 12 December 2024 – A new collaboration between EasyPark and My Way introduces improved parking access in Rotterdam. Drivers can now park in previously unavailable spaces thanks to this initiative.
Easypark expands parking options in rotterdam through partnership
EasyPark, a technology company specialising in parking solutions, has partnered with My Way, a Dutch parking app formerly known as Vicky. This collaboration aims to utilise vacant parking spaces in garages located at businesses, hotels, and other commercial properties. As a result, EasyPark users can now access additional parking locations previously unavailable to them. The initial launch includes parking sites in both Rotterdam and Amsterdam.
According to Michael Stark, Country Director for EasyPark Netherlands, the partnership marks a significant enhancement of the company’s parking services. He commented, “By collaborating with My Way, we provide our users access to parking spots that were previously inaccessible. This increases the availability of parking garages in our app, reduces search times, and contributes to improving the liveability of busy urban centres.”
Automated parking with licence plate recognition
The integration between EasyPark and My Way allows drivers to park seamlessly using automatic licence plate recognition technology. The system begins and ends parking sessions automatically within the EasyPark app, eliminating the need to open the app during parking. Payments are also processed automatically. However, users must enable licence plate recognition in their EasyPark accounts to access these features.
Competitive pricing and utilisation of unused spaces
My Way locations offer competitive pricing, with property owners setting their own rates for underutilised parking spaces. This model provides cost-effective options for drivers and enables businesses to monetise unused facilities.
Plans for expansion
Currently, seven My Way locations in Amsterdam and one in Rotterdam are available to EasyPark users. The companies plan to expand to over 100 locations in major cities across the Netherlands by 2025.
