Description
Evergreen Top 1000 Live Band returns to Oude Luxor with Golden Songs, a theatre concert celebrating some of the most enduring songs in pop history.
The Volendam-rooted band moves through decades of familiar music, combining international classics with Dutch favourites. The programme includes songs associated with artists such as Tom Jones, The Everly Brothers, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Beach Boys, Rob de Nijs, Wim Sonneveld and The Cats.
Rather than simply playing one hit after another, Golden Songs mixes the music with personal stories, nostalgia and humour. Singers Simon Stein and Kelly Veerman lead the live band through songs connected to memories of school dances, summer evenings and other moments that made these records part of people's lives.

The Oude Luxor Theater, originally opened in 1917, is a historic landmark in the heart of Rotterdam. With its classic theater ambiance, it has been a beloved venue for over a century, hosting legendary cabaret performances, stand-up comedy, plays, and intimate musical productions. Despite being severely damaged during World War II, the theater was restored and remains an essential part of Rotterdam’s cultural scene. Seating around 900 guests, the Oude Luxor is cherished for its cozy, nostalgic atmosphere, attracting both established and up-and-coming artists.
