EVE Scheveningen opens on 14 June at Paviljoen Noordboulevard, combining restaurant, workspace, terrace, club nights and sea views.

EVE brings dining and nightlife to Scheveningen

ROTTERDAM, 18 April 2025 – EVE Scheveningen opens on 14 June in Paviljoen Noordboulevard, bringing a new restaurant, lounge, work spot and weekend club to the beach. The multifunctional venue will be operated by RE:BORN, the company also involved with De Pier and Seaview Scheveningen.

For Rotterdam readers looking beyond the city for a seaside day or night out, this puts a new option on the map at the far end of the Scheveningen boulevard. The building is owned by Hommerson and has stood empty, so RE:BORN is stepping in with a summer concept before deciding on the venue’s longer-term future in 2026.

EVE is designed as a place that changes character throughout the day. During daytime hours, you can work from the terrace or restaurant with a sea view, meet people for lunch, or use the lounge area for drinks.

In the evening, the venue shifts into restaurant mode, with a menu built around South American and Asian fusion. On Friday and Saturday nights, Club EVE takes over, with a DJ booth, dance floor and a programme that includes salsa, jazz and comedy evenings.

EVE brings life back

The Noordboulevard gets a new hospitality destination just before the summer season. On the ground floor, EVE will offer workspaces, a lounge, a full-service restaurant with an open kitchen and a large terrace overlooking the sea.

Guests can expect shared plates, meat and fish dishes, vegan options and cocktails. It sounds like the kind of place where you arrive for a laptop-and-coffee moment and somehow end up saying, “Fine, one cocktail then.” Dangerous, but in a very Scheveningen way.

RE:BORN takes over

RE:BORN says the aim is to bring the empty pavilion back into active use quickly. The company will run EVE during the coming summer season, after which the final use of the building for 2026 will be decided.

“We at RE:BORN want the best for Scheveningen, and vacancy is not part of that. We then decided to take care of this building,” says Saman Mohammadi, CEO and co-owner of RE:BORN.

Noordboulevard gets a boost

For Mohammadi, the building deserves a sustainable new role on the boulevard. “The Noordboulevard, and this building in particular, deserve a sustainable use. In recent years, things have not gone well in that respect. We want to make sure EVE becomes an attractive place to work, eat and enjoy time with business guests.”

The timing is deliberately phased. EVE opens in June, operates through the summer, and then closes temporarily in October 2025 so the building can be fully renovated during the winter months.

Food meets nightlife

EVE is positioned as a day-to-night venue. The concept moves from working, meetings and relaxed lunches during the day to dinner, live music and DJ nights in the evening.

The menu combines seasonal dishes, local ingredients and international influences. Expect colourful brunches, more refined dinner dishes and cocktails designed to match the setting.

Club EVE joins programme

On selected evenings, the space becomes Club EVE. The weekend programme will include music and dance nights such as Jazz EVE, Salsa EVE and Comedy EVE.

That gives the venue a wider role than a standard beachside restaurant. It wants to be a place to eat, dance, work, meet and linger, without pretending that everyone on the boulevard came only for a quiet salad and sparkling water.
