ROTTERDAM, 17 September 2026 – Members of 111 clubs and associations across the municipality of Rotterdam will start selling Grote Clubactie lottery tickets on Saturday 19 September. From sports clubs and scouting groups to choirs and dance organisations, the participating Rotterdam associations will keep €2.55 from every €3 ticket sold to fund their own projects and activities.
111 Rotterdam clubs take part
This year’s Grote Clubactie reaches organisations across Rotterdam and the municipality’s outlying districts, including Hoogvliet, Hoek van Holland, Pernis and Rozenburg. Members will sell tickets until 27 October, with each participating club deciding what it wants to raise money for.
Among the Rotterdam participants named so far are Circus Rotjeknor, Erasmus Studentenkoor Rotterdam, FC IJsselmonde, FCB-HWD, 2TURN-Rotterdam, ASV ADVENDO, Badminton Club Asterix, Brownseagroep 66 Rotterdam, Cheo Go Kwan and Dance 2 Beats. The organisers say a full list of Rotterdam participants is available separately.
The wider municipality also includes ten participating organisations in Rozenburg, nine around Hoogvliet, five in Hoek van Holland and three in Pernis. These range from football, rugby, tennis and gymnastics clubs to scouting groups, a pop choir and a folk-dance association.
That variety makes the Grote Clubactie considerably broader than a sports fundraiser. Cultural and community organisations can participate too, with the money remaining with the individual association that sold the ticket.

Clubs keep more from each ticket
A Grote Clubactie ticket costs €3, of which €2.55 now goes directly to the club. The percentage retained by participating organisations has increased from 80 to 85 per cent for the 2026 edition.
Clubs decide themselves how to spend the proceeds. Depending on the organisation, that could mean buying training equipment, instruments or kits, organising a camp or activity, renovating a clubhouse or putting money towards an anniversary celebration.
That local control means money raised by a Rotterdam club stays connected to that organisation and the people taking part in it.
“A strong association is something you build together. During the Grote Clubactie, members experience very concretely that they can contribute themselves. Especially for younger members, that is valuable: they work together towards a goal and see what their efforts achieve for their own club. That involvement is at least as important as the amount ultimately raised,” says Grote Clubactie director Frank Molkenboer.
Buying a ticket in Rotterdam
From 19 September, you may see club members selling tickets around their own Rotterdam neighbourhoods. The traditional door-to-door element remains, although the actual purchase is now handled digitally.
Buyers scan the QR code on a member’s sales card and complete the purchase online. Lottery numbers are then sent by email.
Members can also share their personal sales link through WhatsApp and social media, so supporting a Rotterdam club does not require meeting a seller at the door.
If you want your €3 to benefit a particular association, it therefore matters which club member or personal sales link you buy through. The proceeds are allocated to the organisation connected to that sale.

Clubs across the municipality
In Rozenburg, participating organisations include Excelsior Rozenburg, Tennis Club Rozenburg, Voetbalvereniging Rozenburg, Ruitervereniging Rozenburg, Popkoor Given, Vovero and Z.V. de Zeehond ’73.
Around Hoogvliet, participants include Gymnastiek Vereniging Animo Hoogvliet, JUDO DE KORTE, Rijnmond Hoogvliet Sport, Stichting Scouting Hoogvliet and VV Meeuwenplaat. Hoek van Holland has participants including Rugbyclub Hoek van Holland, HVC ’10 and Scouting Prins Hendrikgroep, while organisations in Pernis include SV Turnlust and Voetbalvereniging Pernis.
The campaign therefore stretches well beyond Rotterdam’s central neighbourhoods and covers associations throughout the municipality.
The Grote Clubactie describes clubs as places where members, volunteers, parents and neighbours meet and work together. Its recent national research into sports associations estimated that almost 26,000 Dutch sports clubs collectively generate €14.1 billion in social value each year, through effects including physical activity, volunteering and social contact.
Sales continue until 27 October
Rotterdam club members can sell Grote Clubactie tickets from 19 September through 27 October 2026.
More than one million prizes are included nationally this year, with a stated chance of winning of 1 in 9. The top prize is €100,000.
The draw takes place on 3 November 2026. After the draw, ticket holders can check through the Grote Clubactie website whether their ticket has won a prize.
For Rotterdam clubs, however, the fundraising result does not depend on whether a ticket wins. Of every €3 ticket purchased through a participating association, €2.55 goes to that club.
