Zuiderpark, located near the Rotterdam Ahoy convention centre is so vast that you cannot even hear the city. It stretches for 430 football fields and is the largest public park in the Netherlands. It has an adventure island (especially fun for kids), a beach, forests and lots of water. Zuiderpark is a wonderful place to spend free time.
How to get to Zuiderpark Rotterdam?
Zuiderpark Rotterdam is located in the Zuidplein area, right next to Rotterdam Ahoy. It's approximately 6.3 kilometres from Centraal Station Rotterdam.
Zuiderpark Rotterdam via public transportation
From Centraal Station, take metro lines E or D and get off at Zuidplein*. It's a 6 minute walk from there (500 metres).
*Note that Google Maps might suggest you get off at Slinge station and then walk 10 minutes. This is also possible, as the park is very large. However, Slinge is further than Zuidplein and you'd simply be accessing the park from a different direction.
