Description

Café Dox hosts another edition of the All Female Jam, a monthly gathering where Rotterdam musicians meet, play and share the stage. Singer Nanda Akkerman leads the evening alongside the AFJ house band, created especially for this series.

The house band opens the jam and supports a changing selection of guest artists. During the evening, women who sing or play an instrument can step onto the stage, try out new ideas and make music together in an open, supportive setting. This edition takes place during The Lab.

The event also responds to the continued gender imbalance across the music industry. Café Dox creates space for women on stage, while men are welcome to attend and listen. The jam uses an inclusive definition of “female” and “woman”, welcoming trans women, genderqueer women and non-binary people.

Tickets operate on a pay-what-you-can basis.
