HAPPENING 3–5 JULY 2026 | Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival is an annual music event which takes place at the Noordplein in Rotterdam Noord. The event has grown into one of the best bluegrass festivals in Europe.
Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival is not just about music. There's also a wide range of workshops, exhibitions and jam sessions as well as underground comics. The three-day festival is also a good place to find fresh food and drinks at affordable prices. Get your hot dogs, perfectly golden brown fries, high-quality organic meat, vegan stew, chicken stew and salads from the various stands and food trucks.
Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival Line-up 2026
Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival has completed its 2026 line-up with 11 new names and has now revealed the day-by-day schedule for the weekend of 3, 4 and 5 July. With Noordplein once again at the centre of it all, the festival is shaping up as another packed summer weekend of bluegrass, roots, folk-punk, blues and plenty of sounds that stretch far beyond any narrow genre label.
The final additions give the programme a broader sweep and a few clear crowd-pullers. Among the newly announced names are Douwe Bob & Blue Grass Boogiemen, HORSEBATH, Angry Zeta, Jonny Fritz, Damn Tall Buildings, Kin’Gongolo Kiniata, The Hooten Hallers, Johanna Rose & The Dreamboats, VAN TASTIK, The Lonesome Malones and The Porchville Stringband.
The festival previously confirmed Bridge City Sinners (US), Truffle Valley Boys (IT), Vandoliers (US), Cat Clyde (CA), Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra (GB), and Cat Lee King & His Cocks (DE), Della Mae (US), Hogslop String Band (US), Emily Nenni (US), Hackensaw Boys (US), Henhouse Prowlers (US), Hillary Klug (US), DUG (IE), Kaia Kater (CA), The Hot Seats (US), and SLO County Stumblers (US) for the weekend of Friday 3, Saturday 4, and Sunday 5 July.
That sets the tone nicely: roots music in its broadest sense, from foot-stomping string bands and sharp-edged folk to buck-dancing fiddle fireworks, banjo-punk, and everything in between that refuses to sit neatly in a single box. And no, that’s not the last of it. More announcements are on the way, alongside everything that makes Noordplein such a brilliant setting: jams, extra programming, and plenty to do for young, old, and everyone in between.
Tickets for Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival
If you've been a regular visitor in previous years, please note that the festival is no longer free for adults. In 2025, a day ticket cost €17 and a festival pass was €45. Children up to the age of 14 entered free if accompanied by an adult. Tickets and detailed information are available here.
