Description
World News come to Rotown with a nostalgic but fresh mix of indie rock, shoegaze and post-punk. Inspired by guitar music from the 1970s and 1980s, the London band pairs atmospheric riffs with relaxed melodies and a quietly melancholic edge.
Their sound brings together the wistful mood of The Smiths, the bright guitar work of R.E.M. and the lyrical intensity associated with Fontaines D.C. The Rotterdam show will feature music from their forthcoming debut album, alongside The Tinman, which attracted international attention in 2023.
