Ebony Pendant + Drengskapur + Dodenkrocht

Sathanas In Gloriam brings Ebony Pendant to Baroeg for a night of underground black metal, with Drengskapur and Dodenkrocht also on the bill. The Seattle project, led by Simon Coseboom, has built a fierce reputation since 2019 with a catalogue of demos, splits, an EP and three full-length albums.

Ebony Pendant’s sound is raw, fast and aggressive, but also sharply melodic. The music draws heavily from the Norwegian black metal tradition of the 1990s, with icy riffs, relentless drive and song structures that give the chaos a clear sense of direction.

This Rotterdam show is especially notable because Ebony Pendant comes to Europe for the first time for a select run of dates, with Baroeg hosting the only Dutch performance. For dedicated black metal listeners, this is one of those rare bookings that feels less like a regular concert and more like a proper underground summons. Dramatic? Yes. But black metal rather insists on it.
