Description

The Icelandic composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer brings a dreamlike strain of neoclassical music to Rotterdam, blending intimate piano, strings and subtle electronics with a cinematic sensibility. Known for work alongside Ólafur Arnalds on projects such as Island Songs and the BBC series Broadchurch, Hallgrímsson has also written for film, including Netflix’s Jaula / The Chalk Line (2022), Innocence and Words of War. The concert is presented in the Eduard Flipse Zaal at de Doelen.
