The six-voice vocal ensemble Lyyra, part of the VOCES8 Foundation, explores the power and range of high voices in a programme that moves from Hildegard von Bingen and Bach to Paul Simon, The Beatles, Stevie Nicks, Stevie Wonder, Appalachian songs and Billie Eilish. The only professional six-part women’s a cappella group in the United States, Lyyra brings a contemporary, theatrical approach to early and new music alike, presented in the Jurriaanse Zaal at de Doelen in Rotterdam.
