The Tubs

Welsh indie band The Tubs comes to Rotterdam with a wiry mix of power pop, jangle pop, post-punk and folk.

The Cardiff group previously appeared in Rotterdam during Left of the Dial 2023 and now returns for its own headline show. Their music combines crisp guitars, melancholic melodies and the restless energy of 1980s college rock, with echoes of bands including The Smiths, The Go-Betweens, The Feelies and The Chills.

Singer Owen Williams previously played in cult indie band Joanna Gruesome. What began as a project centred on more acoustic and folk-oriented songs gradually developed into a full band built around drums, electric guitars and sharp melodic hooks.

The concert was initially planned for V11, but demand for tickets prompted organisers to move the show to the larger Rotown venue. Existing ticket holders remain valid for the new location.
