Description
Rotterdam band Library Card come to Rotown to present their debut album Peeling an Orange in Just One Go. After a run of acclaimed live shows, the five-piece channel personal and socially critical lyrics through an unpredictable mix of post-punk, angular guitars, spoken word and unruly noise rock.
The new album captures the band at their sharpest and most versatile. Their music can feel tense, confrontational and restless, but still leaves room for melody and atmosphere. That balance has earned Library Card a reputation as one of Rotterdam’s most exciting young live bands.
Fans of Dry Cleaning, DIIV, Gang of Four and Sonic Youth should find plenty to enjoy in a hometown album show built around experimental noise, urgent rhythms and lyrics that refuse to sit quietly in the background.
