Description

Juf Braaksel de musical comes to Oude Luxor with a lively family show full of music, mystery and adventure. Based on the popular books by Carry Slee, the musical follows Lotte, Thijs, Lukas and Milou from group 7 as they discover that something is not quite right at their school.

At first, everything seems ordinary. Then the pupils start to suspect that their strict headteacher, Juf Braaksel, is hiding something. Uncovering the mystery turns out to be harder than expected, but with help from the audience, the children are stronger than ever.

The show combines humour, suspense and energetic songs in a family-friendly theatre adventure for children aged six and up. After the performance, visitors can meet the cast during a meet and greet and take a photo with Juf Braaksel and her pupils.

The Oude Luxor Theater, originally opened in 1917, is a historic landmark in the heart of Rotterdam. With its classic theater ambiance, it has been a beloved venue for over a century, hosting legendary cabaret performances, stand-up comedy, plays, and intimate musical productions. Despite being severely damaged during World War II, the theater was restored and remains an essential part of Rotterdam’s cultural scene. Seating around 900 guests, the Oude Luxor is cherished for its cozy, nostalgic atmosphere, attracting both established and up-and-coming artists.
