Emo Night Mainland returns to Baroeg in Rotterdam with a night built for anyone still carrying a soft spot for 2000s emo, pop-punk, metalcore and punk rock. The tone is nostalgic, loud and knowingly dramatic, with the event leaning fully into the shared ritual of singing every word as if the past never really left.
The invitation is clear enough: pull your skinny jeans and black band shirts back out of the wardrobe and get ready for a full evening of familiar anthems. More club night than live concert, this is set up as a communal throwback where the appeal lies in the songs everyone already knows, from heartbreak choruses to heavier breakdowns. In the brand-new Baroeg building, that kind of crowd energy should do the rest.

Description
Baroeg is a legendary subcultural pop venue in Rotterdam, known as the city’s home base for hard and alternative music. Since the early 1980s it has been the go-to spot for metal, punk, hardcore, rock, gothic, industrial, psychobilly and other underground styles. What started as an open youth centre grew into a full pop podium with a loyal community and its own annual festival, Baroeg Open Air.
The venue sits in the Lombardijen neighbourhood by the Spinozapark and has an intimate club vibe: a compact hall with a low stage, solid sound system and a bar where artists and visitors mingle. For many underground and alternative fans in Rotterdam, Baroeg is less a random venue and more a second living room.
