Beethoven’s Fifth! – Sinfonia Rotterdam

Description

The fate motif resounds with youthful energy

“Pa‑pa‑pa‑paaa”: the famous motif of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony heralds a concert that pairs the orchestra’s powerful style with the youthful energy of stagespelers from Codarts and the Royal Conservatoire.
Led by Conrad van Alphen with presenter Jamai Loman, Sinfonia Rotterdam couples the Overture Coriolanus, Triple Concerto and the electrifying Fifth Symphony. The program alternates tender passages with explosive outbursts, culminating in an overwhelming finale.
Soloists include violinist Niek Baar, cellist Sandra Lied Haga and pianist Alexander Yakovlev.
