A Celebration of George Michael

George Michael fans may already know the name Rob Lamberti, and the event text leans all the way into that resemblance. According to the listing, his voice and stage presence are so striking that even George Michael himself once joked, “People are always mistaking me for Rob Lamberti.” Whether that line gets repeated at the bar afterwards is another matter, but the point is clear: this show is aiming high.

After sold-out performances in the Netherlands and Belgium, plus his own concert at AFAS Live Amsterdam, Lamberti returns with his live band for a theatre tour that celebrates the biggest songs of Wham! and George Michael. The programme promises classics including Careless Whisper, Faith, I’m Your Man and Club Tropicana, performed with musicians who previously played with George Michael himself.

The event page also frames Lamberti as a global phenomenon, with international TV appearances including the BBC, and quotes the Southern Daily Echo saying the whole audience ended up on its feet dancing.
