Myles Sanko

British singer Myles Sanko returns to Rotterdam with I see my light, bringing his rich blend of soul, jazz and rhythm-led songwriting back to LantarenVenster. With roots in Ghana and France, Sanko’s music carries a broad cultural palette, but it never feels overworked. It lands warm, direct and human, with a voice that moves easily between vintage soul feeling and something more contemporary.

Over the years, he has built an international reputation with his funky, jazz-leaning sound, performing across the world and sharing stages with artists such as Gregory Porter and Martha High. Rotterdam already knows the deal too, as the listing notes that he has played sold-out shows at LantarenVenster before.

His 2024 album Let it unfold, released on his own 213 Music label, confronted childhood trauma and future hope in equal measure. The writing process is described here as therapeutic, helping him embrace both vulnerability and strength. Now he is moving forward with his seventh album, I see my light, due in September 2026. That new work continues his path of artistic independence, self-love and healing, while holding on to the soulful core that makes his music so inviting in the first place.
