Description

Opera’s biggest crowd-pleasers take centre stage at de Doelen in Rotterdam, where World Concerts returns with its fourth Opera Gala. Expect a greatest-hits tour of famous arias, duets and choral moments, with composers like Verdi, Mozart, Puccini, and Bizet firmly in the mix. The programme pulls recognisable highlights from classic titles such as Carmen, La bohème, Nabucco, Aïda, La traviata, Die Zauberflöte, Les pêcheurs de perles, Tosca and Cavalleria rusticana. On stage are the National Choir of Ukraine “Dumka” (Kyiv) and the International Symphony Orchestra (Lviv), conducted by Raymond Janssen.
