Description

The name of the L.A. band Rocket says it all — explosive energy. Their shoegaze-drenched indie rock collides sharp guitars with dreamy vocals, while stripped-down verses laced with hardcore riffs slowly build tension before bursting into euphoric choruses. The interplay of soft and subtle on one hand, and raw and loud on the other, feels as alive as it is uncompromising. Think Sonic Youth, The Smashing Pumpkins and Dinosaur Jr., reimagined for Gen Z.

Their debut EP Versions of You (2023) feels like a time capsule — a soundtrack to the turbulent shift from late teens into early twenties. By 2025, the band had released five singles, a promising preview of a hoped-for full album. Expectations are high, and fans can’t wait to see just how far this rocket will fly.
