Dvořák en Bartók

Description

The Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest returns to de Doelen in Rotterdam with a programme that moves from Bartók’s spellbinding Second Violin Concerto to the bright, songful lift of Dvořák’s Eighth Symphony. Norwegian violinist Vilde Frang is the soloist in Bartók’s concerto, a work that begins in a hush and keeps shifting its colours, before the evening turns toward Dvořák’s more open-hearted symphonic world.
