Since the late ’90s, Lewis has been a cornerstone of New York’s underground scene. Known for blending scrappy guitar riffs with comic book sensibilities and lo-fi folk, his influence stretches across the genre. Alongside his peers in The Moldy Peaches, Lewis brought a refreshing, unfiltered voice to the anti-folk movement. Two decades later, he’s still going strong—while many of his contemporaries have faded into silence.

With a mountain of albums, tapes, and hand-burned tour CD-Rs under his belt, Lewis delivers quirky, sharp lyrics and guitar fuzz with charm. His band, The Voltage, joins him live for an eccentric set that mixes folk, garage, and indie-pop—often accompanied by hand-drawn, politically charged visuals and comics.
