Description
Brooklyn’s genre-bending voice brings his latest project to LantarenVenster
Cautious Clay, the musical alias of Josh Karpeh, is set to perform at LantarenVenster in Rotterdam. The Brooklyn-based singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer fuses lo-fi electronic pop with hip-hop, R&B, indie and soul. After making waves with his 2017 breakout track Cold War—later sampled by Taylor Swift—Karpeh now returns with The Hours: Morning, a concept project that unfolds like a mixtape, exploring the emotional rhythm of the day.
For this release, Karpeh embraced a freer creative process, resulting in over sixty new tracks, some of which appear on the album. Each track reflects a different hour and mood, forming a deeply personal sonic diary. On stage, Cautious Clay showcases his full musical range, playing guitar, saxophone, and flute, offering audiences an immersive and heartfelt experience.
